Kevin Feenstra's new book, Now Available!   Kevin wrote this book after spending a tremendous amount of time fishing for steelhead and lake run browns and observing the baitfish that they will prey on.   This book has in depth sections, written from a fishing guides point of view on the actual baitfish, reading the water, fly fishing equipment, and a dozen great fly patterns.     This book will help you catch migratory fish though the fall, winter and spring.    It has stunning photos of baitfish and is a beautiful production. Per your request, Kevin will be happy to sign each copy purchased.

    Clear, concise, and informative

In the spirit of full disclosure I must state that I have been a client of Kevin Feenstra for several guided trips and consider him the best fishing guide since the passing of Fred Lee.. Kevin has many years of fishing and guiding the Muskegon River in Michigan and he imparts his abundance of experience and knowledge in his recent book- Matching Baitfish. The information in this book is thorough and the writing is clear and concise. It covers migratory (primarily steelhead) fish location, river structure, and fishing methods. He describes the likely bait fish found in the river and their importance to the fishery. The underwater photographs of these bait fish is astounding . ( if one is interested in photos of wildlife in and around the Muskegon River, check out his Instagram page). And, of course, he provides details of the “flies” he ties to match these important river food sources. I highly recommend this fabulous book and encourage him to write a similar book about fishing for smallmouth
